Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to families with sick children by offering them a place to stay near hospitals during their child’s treatment.
The charity operates over 385 Ronald McDonald House programs globally, which serve as a “home away from home” for families, allowing them to stay close to their hospitalized child at little to no cost. This proximity helps families participate actively in their child’s care and reduces their emotional and financial stress.
In addition to the House programs, RMHC also runs more than 270 Ronald McDonald Family Room programs located within hospitals. These rooms offer a place for family members to rest and regroup right at the hospital, close to their sick child. Furthermore, the charity has more than 40 Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Programs which provide essential medical, dental, and health education services directly to underserved communities.
RMHC operates through a network of local chapters worldwide, ensuring that donations and resources are used to help families in specific communities. The charity ensures that a significant portion of each dollar donated is directed towards these programs, supporting the mission of keeping families together during critical times.
